Caitlin received her masters in Couples and Family Counseling from the University of Colorado at Denver, and completed her internship in Animals Assisted Therapy during her master's program. She also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social and Economic Justice. Caitlin has also received post-graduate training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
Caitlin views the world through a systemic lens, viewing people not just on an individual level, but also as part of a system interacting with other people and functioning within relationships. Caitlin comes from a background of working in animal care with birds of prey and large cats, and has always had a passion for animal welfare. She is excited about continuing to work with animals at Finding Hiawatha Therapy, and being able to incorporate their healing abilities in sessions with clients.
In her free time, Caitlin enjoys being outside and connecting with nature through biking, hiking, and playing with her dog Gizmo and cat Pirate. She also loves spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring new places!
